FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Feel free to ask!
If you don't ask questions, you won't get any answers. Inquiring, informing, asking - it's worth it. Especially when it comes to your telc exam. Here is an overview of the most common and important questions our customers ask - and precise answers from inlingua.
There are two ways to register for a telc exam:
- Online, on our website: telc Prüfungen / inlingua-ingolstadt.de, or
- in person, at one of our locations (Ingolstadt or Abensberg).
If you do not attend an examination, the entire examination fee will still be due. The only exceptions are cases of illness confirmed by a doctor's certificate. In this case, please send us the medical certificate by 1 pm on the day of the exam at the latest.
In that case, there are two options:
You can take the exam at a later date, and pay an additional € 25.00 (service fee)
or
we will refund the exam fee, minus a € 25.00 service fee.
If you retake a failed exam, you can have a passed partial result (written or oral part) of a previous exam credited to you within twelve months of taking the first exam. You then do not need to retake the part of the exam that you passed initially. The result will be credited to your new examination result.
Previous results can only be credited to the same exam (B1 for B1, B2 for B2 etc.). For example, it is not possible to credit your C1 result to a C1 Hochschule exam.
For the dual level exams (A2-B1, B1-B2 and B2-C1), partial results from previous exams cannot be credited.
The best exam preparation is our single training course. Find more information: Prüfungsvorbereitung (inlingua-ingolstadt.de)

All telc examinations consist of a written and an oral part and there is a break between those two parts (30-60 minutes).
Before the exam starts, we will collect your phones, smartwatches, watches and other electronic devices. We will return your devices after the exam. Please note that you will not be able to access your devices during the break.
Approximately one week before the exam you will receive an email from us with all the relevant information concerning your exam.
