The onSET is a language test used worldwide that enables the quick and accurate assessment of language proficiency in German or English. Employers, universities, and language institutes use it for applicants, language learners, students, and scholarship holders to assess their language skills.

Important organizational hints for taking part in the exam

• Registration can be completed online or in person at one of our locations in Ingolstadt or Abensberg.
• Please note the registration deadline, as places are limited.
• When registering and on the day of the exam, you must bring your valid official ID.
• The examination fee is €50 and is payable upon registration.
• The test takes approximately 60 minutes.
• You will receive your result immediately after completing the test.
• The onSET is conducted at our Ingolstadt location.

Information regarding the exam format

The onSET exam consists of 8 texts with gaps that need to be completed.

The texts cover different topics and have varying levels of difficulty. You must fill in the gaps correctly.

The onSET exam is based on the C-Test format. C-Tests make use of the redundancy of natural language. In the test tasks, this redundancy is reduced by removing parts of words.
