FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Those who ask questions gain knowledge.
Feel free to ask! If you don't ask questions, you won't get answers. It's always worth asking, finding out more, and getting informed - especially when it comes to your telc examination.
Here you'll find an overview of the most frequently asked questions from our customers, along with clear and precise answers from inlingua.
The examination fee cannot be refunded in the event of non-attendance at the examination, even in the event of illness. Cancellation of the examination is not possible.
Exception: In the case of telc language examinations (regularly scheduled dates), the examination date can be rebooked once by inlingua Ingolstadt to another date only on presentation of a medical certificate of incapacity for work. The administration fee for this is 50 euros. The medical certificate of incapacity for the examination must be submitted no later than 1:00 p.m. on the day of the examination with the written or personal cancellation of the examination. There is no legal entitlement to a rebooking.
If you retake a failed exam, you can have a passed partial result (written or oral part) of a previous exam credited to you within twelve months of taking the first exam. You then do not need to retake the part of the exam that you passed initially. The result will be credited to your new examination result.
Previous results can only be credited to the same exam (B1 for B1, B2 for B2 etc.). For example, it is not possible to credit your C1 result to a C1 Hochschule exam.
For the dual level exams (A2-B1, B1-B2 and B2-C1), partial results from previous exams cannot be credited.
The best preparation is offered through our individual training sessions or our group courses, which you can learn more about here: Prüfungsvorbereitung (inlingua-ingolstadt.de)
You can also find mock tests and learning material on the telc website: Sprachprüfungen bei telc - telc
All telc examinations consist of a written and an oral part and there is a break between those two parts (30-60 minutes).
Exception: the telc Deutsch-Test A2 Sprechen examination for general German language skills, which consists only of an oral part.
Before the exam starts, we will collect your phones, smartwatches, watches and other electronic devices. We will return your devices after the exam. Please note that you will not be able to access your devices during the break.
Approximately one week before the exam you will receive an email from us with all the relevant information concerning your exam.
